FBMUD 116 Waterline Interconnection Project

The Board of Directors for Fort Bend County Municipal Utility District No. 116 (FBMUD 116, the District, the Board) cares about its residents. For this reason, the Board is focused on providing optimal water, sewer, and drainage for residents and businesses located within District boundaries.

By reviewing and maintaining the integrity of the infrastructure that provides water, this goal can be accomplished. Currently, all the water provided to the southwest portion of the District comes from a single waterline. Through planning and discussion, the Board realized that in the event of a break or required service of that waterline, that portion of the District would have an interruption in service with low, or no water pressure.

To mitigate that risk, the Board has undertaken a project to loop the system. The project consists of the construction of a 12" PVC waterline to interconnect existing waterlines at FM 762 and Williams Way Boulevard, and at the westerly corner of the Group 1 Automotive entrance driveway and FM 762. This line will complete the loop along FM 762, thereby aiding in the distribution of water pressure evenly along FM 762 and Williams Way Blvd.

This development is currently underway, and no service interruption is expected while crews are working. Upon the anticipated completion time, August 2021, these District lines will continuously provide water to the southwest portion of the District in the event of a repair or waterline break.
